Discussions about dentistry on the radio reach wide and varied audiences. And as part of the work I do as a Trustee of the Oral Health Foundation, I get invited to contribute.
So, this week I am on the drive time show on Voice of Islam Radio. Voice of Islam Radio is a new, London based, Digital DAB 24hr radio station. It offers news, views, discussion and insight on Islam’s Perspectives on the world today.
VOI broadcasts 24 hours a day and gives everyone a space for discussion. Furthermore, it is for people of faith, no faith or those with an interest in social peace and greater justice.
So I was delighted that they dedicated the second hour of Monday’s drive time to a detailed discussion about oral healthcare. I must say that the presenter was extremely well prepared. His analysis of the scope of oral healthcare at the start of the section is very detailed. Also his questions are well thought out and relevant. However, I wonder if his questions about eating too much chocolate are personally motivated!
